Fire safety on ferries is a very central part of the regulatory work Interferry engages in, with and on behalf of its members. Interferry is a project partner in an extensive R&D Project named LASH FIRE, which aims to further enhance fire safety by assessing a large number of potential improvements.
One very topical issue is the carriage of Alternatively Powered Vehicles, such as high pressure or liquid gas tanks or the increasingly prevalent electric cars with lithium-ion batteries.
On October 14, 2020 Interferry and partners will hold a Webinar on this topic, to which Interferry members are invited to participate. Registration is free of charge but required to join the webinar.
